DAK Resources is actively seeking Pashto, Pashto/Dari and Pashto/Dari/Farsi linguists to perform the following functions:
Provide operational contract linguist support to U.S. Army operations in Afghanistan
Provide general linguistic support for military operations and interpret during interviews, meetings and conferences
Interpret and translate written and spoken communications
Transcribe and analyze communications
Perform document exploitation
Scan, research, and analyze foreign language documents for key information
Translate foreign language documents
Identify and extract information components meeting military information requirements
Provide input to reports
Requirements
1. Must have or be willing to obtain a security clearance
2. Must be proficient in reading, writing, listening and speaking in Pashto, Dari and English – *emphasis is on Pashto and English
3. Must be willing to travel oversees to Afghanistan and stay for a period of one year
4. Salary range will be base on security clearance and experience as a linguist but the range is from $210,000.00 to $235,000.00 (US dollars)
· Speak and understand English and Pashto languages – 1 to 5 rating: (English 2+, Pashto 3)
· Initial 15 minute interview by client Testing Administrator to evaluate languages – 24 hour notice if passed
· No felony convictions
· No bankruptcy
· Medical – deploy only when client has medical conditions in control
· Physical – must be able to perform duties in a variety of environmental conditions
