Caliburn is currently seeking a Doctor (Specialty) Surgical Capability for Damage to support the UN Mission in both Djibouti and Hudaydah Yemen.
**This Position is Notional Pending Contract Award
The primary responsibilities of the Doctor (Specialty) Surgeon include the following:
Perform emergency surgeries in an austere environment.
Perform a wide range of surgical procedures in a resource constrained environment.
Make resource-based triage decisions.
Care for patients post-operatively prior to evacuation.
Maintain thorough patient care documentation.
Perform in support of the Aeromedical Team, maintain positive professional relationships with colleges, EMS and hospital personnel
Facilitate Training sessions in ACLS and PHTLS to all mission personnel.
Perform other duties as assigned.
First Level Medical Degree qualifying for Surgery
Board Certified or Post Graduate Certified (Diploma in Specialized Subject) – Surgery.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience continuous progressive clinical experience post qualifying experience in the field of specialty (surgery).
Hold and Maintain a license or practicing certificate as a Physician (Surgeon) from United Nations member state.
Basic Life Support (BLS), Advance Life Support (ACLS) and Advance Trauma Life Support (ATLS) are required.
Must be familiar with the Global Air Ambulance Practice and Standards.
Ability to be granted a clearance by the United Nations
From a United Nations Member Nation
Must hold a Passport from a UN Member Nation
Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to work well with senior management and across functions to achieve business objectives
Strong organizational, analytical and written/verbal communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills to research and resolve inquiries and respond in a timely manner
Self-starter who is action oriented and possesses a strong sense of urgency
Proficient in Microsoft applications, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint
