The Human Resources Assistant provides support to the HR department on all personnel matters to include employee and manager communications, training, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and benefits, reports to the Director of HR.

All services shall be provided in accordance with established standards, principles, and ethics of the profession, applicable professional specialty organizations, and the high-quality standard for which CHSi is recognized.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists department in carrying out various HR programs and procedures for all employees.
Processes required documents to ensure accurate record keeping and proper deductions.
Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
Verifies I-9 documentation and maintains that they are current.
Assists with processing of new hires and terminations.
Assists with timely updates to HRIS and Status Change Forms (SCFs).
Makes photocopies, faxes documents and performs other clerical functions.
Files papers and documents into appropriate employee files.
Assists or prepares correspondence.
Prepares new employee files.
Officially welcomes new hires throughout their first day of employment.
Conducts exit interviews.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Other Duties:
Provides on-site HR representation as necessary
May participate in interdepartmental project groups or task forces to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain a specific level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, new task efforts, contract awards, and new policy requirements.
Assists in the active implementation of company initiatives to ensure compliance with OSHA VPP, ISO, JCAHO, AAAHC, and other mandated regulations or standards.
Performs duties in a safe manner.
Follows the corporate safety policy.
Participates and supports safety meetings, training, and goals.
Ensures safe operating conditions within an area of responsibility.
Maintains a clean and orderly work area
