The Director – Information Technology (IT) is the primary advisor to the Program Manager on all aspects of IT, networks, and information security. The Director – IT also provides network support and assists with analyzing requirements to plan systems that will provide the capabilities required for projected workloads. Director - IT serves as technical expert for the development, implementation, management, and support of systems and networks.

A BS in Computer Science or a related field is required. A MS in Computer Science or a closely related field is desirable.
Minimum of 5 years direct experience in Iraq and Afghanistan, performing similar duties is desirable.
Five years progressively responsible experience in IT and some supervisory experience required.
Experience in Satellite Communications is strongly desirable.
Relevant experience for at least 6 months of the last year.
A MCSE or similar relevant certification is preferred.
Requires knowledge of network planning and skills required by Network Administrator, Computer Support Specialist and Database Administrator and a minimum of 3-years of substantive experience in each function.
Requires the ability to read and interpret written information and effectively communicate verbally and in writing where information includes scientific terminology.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Confers with managers to obtain information on limitations and capabilities of existing systems and capabilities required projected workload.
Supervises IT Personnel performs IT help desk functions.
Assists with the planning, implementation, and supporting of the network platform and with the installation and maintenance of various Local area networks’ hardware and software infrastructures.
Supervises IT Staff
Providing IT Support throughout Iraq and Afghanistan.
Ensuring all program activities are implemented in a timely manner and reporting activities as required.
Performing server patching of servers.
Supporting VoIP phones and understanding
Support Wireless Communications.
Designing and maintaining cabling infrastructure.
Coordinating Network changes with staff and subcontractors as required.
Supporting operating system servers.
Performing IT Help Desk functions.
Assists with analyzing and determining budget requirements for the computer and network systems technology and reviews available vendor offerings to establish computer and network architecture solutions.
Develops policy, procedures and controls to ensure only authorized access and use.
Responsible for the day-to-day backup of the network and ensuring the smooth running of the networking process.  May be responsible for training users to use new or modified equipment.
Monitors equipment functions to ensure system operates in conformance with specifications.
Must be flexible and able to perform other IT-related duties and responsibilities, as assigned by the PM, Health Systems Administrator /Logistician or other manager designated by the PM.

Must have a valid US Passport
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
Must sign a Caliburn  International Assignment Agreement (IAA) and Is bound to the terms and conditions of the FSA.
Must have a valid US Passport
Shall attend a Pre-Deployment Counter Terrorism training course prior to deployment to Iraq or Afghanistan.
Must be CPR/BLS Certified.

Physical Requirements:
Must be confirmed by a medical examination to be “medically and dentally fit” in accordance CHS Medical Readiness Guidelines and Policies and/or as dictated by the Client.
No conditions that would prevent the wear of personal protective equipment; including protective mask, ballistic helmet, body armor and chemical/biological protective garments or conditions that would prevent the capability of donning, lifting or carrying of up to 70 lbs. of referenced gear while running to a bunker or protected area in the face of perceived or imminent danger.
Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment; travel in Iraq and Afghanistan is required by surface or air.
