The Essential Job Functions of the Branch Manager are below.

Ensure the standardization of operational procedures, reporting, and controls throughout the departments and the branch.
Monitor branch activities and processes to ensure that the company is utilizing “best practices” and achieving targeted financial and operational objectives and ratios.
Provide sales and marketing leadership and direction that result in “real sales gains” (profitability) and overall growth in guardian market share.
Maintain a close management tie with key customers of the branch and the company.
Meet or exceed quarterly and annual financial budgets and goals that are established.
Presence in the office on a consistent basis.
Ensure that all company and branch policies are followed.
Be responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, and motivating key employees, both operational and sales.
Conduct annual reviews of department managers within the branch.
Participate in employee reviews with their department managers as needed.
Conduct and/or participate with corporate management in quarterly and annual sales reviews.
Ensure that all DOE and EEOC laws and procedures are adhered to at the branch level.
Engage with HR on a regular basis to address all employee performance or other concerns.
Ensure that all Guardian and OSHA safety requirements are met 100% of the time.
Ensure that branch and departmental budgets and performance requirements are met.
Lead weekly operations and sales meetings
Ensure that all housekeeping expectations and requirements are met.
Ensure accountability and protection for all of the branch assets.
A/R collections for branch accounts.
Addressing and resolving all problems (with HR when needed), internal and external, quickly and fairly.
Be responsible for and ensure that each department manager and key employees are meeting or exceeding their job requirements, responsibilities, and expectations, both operationally and financially.
Ensure that current company strategic intent requirements are executed and reported to corporate accordingly.
Safety meetings- monthly
Office pre-cons meetings
Job site pre-con meetings
Ensure that each department develops, schedules and completes an on-going training program for each employee within their functional area, based on each employees’ needs and requirements for self-improvement and company success.

Requirements

Required Education and Experience:
Associates degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
7-10 years of previous experience in a similar position, with measurable results.

Work Environment:
This job operates primarily in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, printers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines. This position may require periodic travel and visits to customer locations, and to job sites where work is being performed where the employee may potentially be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and moving mechanical parts.

This is largely a sedentary role; however, the employee may occasionally climb, stoop or kneel. The employee may occasionally lift up to 10 pounds and/or move up to 25 pounds. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bending or standing on a stool as necessary.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position, M-F.

Travel:
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
