This position, Executive Administrative Assistant & Transportation, reports to the COO, requires a variety of skillsets, due to the diverse nature of the role.
Utmost in this role will be the ability to develop trust and demonstrate absolute confidentiality to the owners of Better Nutritionals.
In addition, it is expected that superior execution in the support and efficient management of time, meetings, visitors to the business, events, and other traditional C-Suite-type business activities will be accomplished.
Better Nutritionals is a very fast-growing company and needs this role to demonstrate the ability to work at the pace of the progress of the company.
The general support of the leadership staff of Better Nutritionals, as assigned.
This could involve, but not be limited to: Meetings, travel support, expense reporting, external meeting coordination, customer and/or audit meetings, etc.
Comfortable with driving an SUV for a couple of hours daily.
Very organized, experienced with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and Microsoft Teams.
Comfortable working with executive staff.
Note, as a start-up type company, there are many actions that are needed to maintain the business processes, therefore this role combines these functions.

The hours for this position will need to align with the fast-paced operations, the Norco expansion schedule, and support of manufacturing operations, which are 24 hours per day and at least 6 days/week.
Hours may vary, as the role of an executive administrative assistant & transportation, does not always align with traditional “office hours”.
First Shift: 5:00 AM – 01:30 PM
Second Shift: 01:00 PM – 09:30 PM
Third Shift: 9:00 PM – 05:30 AM

This role benefits from functional experience with the executive portion of a fast-paced start-up company.
The person in this role must understand how to operate efficiently and effectively optimize time usage.
Proven ability to rapidly learn and adapt to operations.
This role will have its purview across all of BN’s business locations but is based in Norco, CA.
As a small but rapidly growing firm, anyone in this organization must be committed to demonstrating the ability to “jump in” and do what is necessary to achieve the BN standards and deliver to our customers, while possessing the maturity to know when to step back, assess, and provide insight for critical decisions.
10+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant & Transportation to owners and/or C-Suite executives
University degree expected, advanced degree desired
Ability to operate with absolute confidentiality
Superior interpersonal skills
Self-driven, highly accountable to their time and effectively handle a confluence of tasks and shifting priorities
Ability to build relationships, de-escalate high-tension situations, build strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and the people of BN
Expert-level written and verbal communication skills, with fluent bi-lingual skills in Spanish and English a big plus
Expert-level experience with Microsoft office suite, internet searching, and using systems for expenses, purchasing, and related
Creative problem-solving skills
Demonstrate the ability to prioritize, execute and handle conflicting priorities and still achieve deadlines and business objectives
Highly resourceful team player
Forward-looking – anticipates well, communicates potential risks with possible solutions
Ability to effectively operate in an ambiguous and evolving environment
Ability to create expert-level professional presentations, error-free and BOD-quality

Proven ability to operate under the pressure of: e.g. deadlines, quality issues, customer commitments and remain calm, collective, and remain aware of all influencing factors during these challenging times.
Clear, concise communication skills: Listening, speaking, and especially writing, will be essential to a capable candidate.

40 hour, 5-day work week, with work schedules requiring some weekend work and off-shift work coverage to meet business deadlines.
The role will support the executives and Sr.
The leadership of the business, so work schedules will need to accommodate those opportunities, including weekends, if necessary.
The role may involve walking and standing and could be considerable, with sitting being likely being most of the time on the job while working at a desk on a computer or meetings or related.
Note, the current intended location for the desk for this role is on the second floor and will require the use of stairs.
Lifting for the role should be, 99% of the time, less than 20 pounds and not expected to be a primary or secondary part of the position.
Time working/sitting and using the computer will be required could represent most of the time for the position 50%.
The commensurate exposure to computer screens follows these work requirements.
This is an operations support role.
The role may require going to the manufacturing floor, lab or warehouse, or other utility areas of the facilities.
As such, there may be requirements to be in the direct manufacturing and warehouse locations.
Manufacturing and utility areas can expose an employee to high-temperature equipment, kettles, piping and noise, and related hazards.
Wearing PPE is not only required by policy but needed to ensure the safety of our people.
Compliance with safety and PPE requirements is mandatory for employment.
This role will have work hours associated with “typical” business hours.
However, there will be business demands that would require the need to off-hour work, including weekends, if the business required.
This is an exempt (salaried) role, and overtime is not paid.
Better Nutritionals has expanded to a Norco location.
Norco is expected to be the base location for this role.
Support, as needed, of the Gardena facility may require time at Gardena to address business needs.
This will be on a case-by-case basis.
Note: This will expand to any additional facilities that BN may acquire in the future.
