Job Description
X-Ray Technician/ Medical Assistant - (Anchorage, AK)

General Summary:
Radiology Technician/ Medical Assistant position open in our family practice and occupational health clinics. Clinic support functions include performing a variety of medical services and support related tasks, as well as support in the delivery of the company's core values.

Essential job Functions
Perform X-rays, meet X-ray competency standards (chest, extremities, spine, etc.).
Ensure operation of radiology equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
Gather patient histories, vital signs, weights and heights, room patients, blood draws, injections, EKG's and stress tests, and assist in minor in-office procedures, as needed.
Perform Medical Records functions on Electronic Medical Record system, such as filing and maintenance of patient records.
Assist with current immunization and allergy protocols.
Other duties as necessary.

Job Requirements:
Preferred registry with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or be registry eligible and complete registry within one year from date of hire.
Must possess a valid State of Alaska Driver's License
Minimum High School education required

Physical Demands and Work Conditions:
Work conditions are such that significant time will be spent walking, standing, stooping, sitting, assisting with positioning patients, and include some lifting. Exposure to anesthetic gases, blood and body fluids, sharps, and other health care occupational hazards is routine. Conditions will include exposure to hospital grade cleaning solutions, flammable solutions and gases, e.g., alcohol and oxygen, as well as latex and other industrial chemicals.
