Basic Functions:
Serves as a Staff Trainer for all matters concerning on flight/ground aviation standardization issues. The Staff Trainer is responsible for assisting in the planning, coordinating, and supervising of all current and future command operations, directly supporting the Office of Program Management (Aviation) team to meet the Ministry of the National Guard’s operational requirements. Responsible to provide feedback to the MNG Chief of aviation-on-aviation related problem areas that surface during the conduct of aviation standardization and evaluations. Responsible for all aviation literature in MNG-AVN for technical accuracy appropriate to branch responsibilities and recommend changes to aviation literature to the Chief of MNG-AVN.
 
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide executive level expertise and assistance to the Saudi Arabian National Guard General Officers and the operations staff supporting current and future operations within areas aviation standardization and training management. Provide the Saudi Arabian National Guard General Officer staff with assessing, developing, coordinating, and preparing current aviation related actions for decision and implementation. Monitors MNG-AVN standardization programs and serves as the interface between MNG-AVN G-3 and the Brigade. Primary MNG-AVN G3/5 staff officer responsible for developing MNG-AVN standardization policies for aviation regulations. Manage the creation, modification and implementation of aviation flight policy, regulations, training documents and procedures. Develop or update Aviation Aircrew Training Program, appropriate /MNG-AVN related manuals, CMP and POI in accordance with customer guidance. Verify and confirm that all required flight training publications are current and complete. Attends meetings as required with Customers. Responsible for providing direct interface and daily status reports as required between staff for training status, mission assignments, mission planning, and crew status. Able to perform duties in a culturally sensitive environment and maintain a professional approach, attitude, and appearance always. Develops, updates, and performs as SME in all POI and Flight Training Guide areas, and subjects as required by the customer leadership. Other duties as assigned and or directed by management.
 
Minimum Qualifications:
Education Level:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required, Master’s Degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of college level courses, military training and job site experience may be substituted.
Must have been qualified as a Pilot in Command.
Graduate of the Instructor Pilot Course (IPC)/Methods of Instruction (MOI) course at an authorized Aviation Proponent School or an IP equivalency evaluation administered by a standardization instructor pilot (SP) selected by the Directorate of Evaluations and Standardization (DES) required or equivalent.
Qualified on the AH-64, UH-60, MD-530, or the AH-6i Series Aircraft.
FAA Commercial Rotorcraft Helicopter Instructor Pilot certificate (CFI) or equivalent required (GACA).
FAA Commercial Rotorcraft Helicopter Instrument Pilot certificate (CFII) preferred.

Experience:
Minimum of 15 years’ experience in Aviation Standardization required.
Former Standardization Instructor Pilot experience required.
Former Brigade level or higher staff officer experience preferred.
Experience in Attack or Support helicopter missions required.
Minimum of 3000 total flight hours required.
Minimum of 500 Instructor Pilot Flight hours in the AH-64, UH-60, MD-530 or the AH-6i series aircraft required.
Minimum of 150 Night Vision Goggle (NVG) flight hours required.
Combat experience preferred.
Instructor pilot experience at an USAACE approved school of instruction or equivalent preferred.
 
Specific knowledge, skill, and ability requirements:
Successfully pass the FAA Class II Flight Physical upon hire or equivalent, and annually thereafter required if on flight status.
Knowledge of Army Aviation training concepts, administration, and logistics.
Ability to communicate both orally and written in English.
Ability to effectively deal with people in the coordination of staff and team members.
Ability to effectively communicate with the customer in a professional and courteous manner.
Possesses a current KSA/USA passport
Possess a valid driver’s license.
Any or all the above minimum qualifications may be waived by Chief of MNG-Aviation
 
Experience:
Ten (10) years’ experience; Must have extensive background in aviation flight training or flight academics
Must have a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in rotary wing flight training.
Graduate of Command and General Staff College or Warrant Officer Senior Staff Course.
An equivalent combination of college level courses, military training and job site experience may be substituted on a case-by-case basis by the Director of Aviation Training.
 
Specific knowledge, skill, and ability requirements:
Knowledge of policies, principles, and procedures of military staff, particularly within military Training and Operations.
Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written means.
Ability to deal effectively with people on the staff.
Ability to effectively communicate with the customer in a professional and courteous manner.
Knowledge of pertinent KSA (Labor Law), SANG and OPM-SANG operational procedures concerning job related activities desired.
Proficient in MS Office Professional software required (Office, Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Outlook and Publisher).
Specific proficiency in database programs required.
Proficient in Microsoft SharePoint and Project highly desired.
Possess a valid KSA/USA passport, and a valid driver's license
