Job Description

Scope:
The Central Receiving is responsible for fulfilling orders, maintaining inventory and coordinating shipping/receiving functions with all functional areas. Responsibilities also include maintaining receiving/shipping logs to account for all materials entering and leaving the warehouse. Reports to the Logistics and facility Manager.
All services shall be provided in accordance with established standards, principles, and ethics of the profession, applicable professional specialty organizations, and the high-quality standard for which CHS is recognized.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinates delivery of goods with subcontractors.
Packages items for shipment (to include required documentation) and coordinates with subcontractors to arrange pick-up.
Performs an initial inspection of packages received and maintains a log of all shipments.
Reports discrepancies and works with Procurement to ensure timely resolution at no cost to the Government.
Responsible for loading and unloading of cargo to and from delivery trucks/various shelter sites.
Maintains storage areas neat and organized, free from clutter and with ease of access for retrieval of inventory for an issue to functional areas.
Ensures access to the stock room is restricted to authorized personnel only.
Stocks shelves and organizes product following the first-in-first-out (FIFO) rule.
Performs cyclical counts of inventory in the storage room and reports discrepancies to supervisor.
Applies bar codes to inventory upon receipt and utilizes bar code scanners to perform inventory counts.
Assists with generating orders for materials reaching low balance and/or reorder points (ROP) as applicable.
Performs inventory closeout upon completion of a task order to ensure accountability of all GFE and CHS owned materials. Reports findings to supervisor and site leadership.
Ensures contract policies and procedures are followed at all times.
Performs duties in a safe manner.
Follows the corporate safety policy.
Participates and supports safety meetings, training, and goals.
Ensures the safety and security of all UAC and the safe operating conditions within the area of responsibility.
Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
Bilingual in Spanish and English (Read, Write, Speak).
High School diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, be organized and have excellent verbal and communication skills.
Proficiency with computer and common office equipment, as well as with Micro Soft Office products.

Preferred Qualifications:
1 year of warehouse experience.
Demonstrated ability and/or familiarity with operating warehouse equipment.
Demonstrated residential facility experience

Physical Requirements:
Ability to ascend/descend stairs.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Able to withstand changing environmental conditions with the weather (rain, lightning, and winds).
Able to withstand and manipulate through construction areas, sports fields, etc.
Ability to stand; particularly for sustained periods of time.
