Summer Intern - Clinical Services: Full-time temporary/ summer intern position at our Anchorage, AK office, Monday-Friday (approximately 4 - 5 months)

Basic Function and Responsibility:
This position is responsible for maintenance, filing, distribution and quality control of patient testing records, which includes medical and drug and alcohol testing records. Position is responsible for scanning, posting, archiving of records. Must have the ability to prioritize, multitask and manage paper and electronic information/data. This position requires familiarity with Outlook, Excel, Word and Adobe. The Summer Intern is accountable for accurate storage and filing of patient records and related information and delivery of excellent customer service.

Follow HIPAA, Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics, and Policies and Procedures.
Comply with the regulatory agency rules and regulations to assure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
Demonstrate ability to multi-task and carry out customer service and administrative components of the position.
Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to adapt to change.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills:
Prior office admin experience, medical records experience preferred. Ability to work in MS Office and operate standard office equipment. Summer Intern will demonstrate a positive attitude, have excellent interpersonal skills, customer service skills, organization and problem-solving skills.

Level of Experience:
Prior experience with medical records, knowledge of HIPAA and privacy practices preferred
Minimum level of education high school diploma or equivalent

Physical Demands:
Prolonged periods of sitting (6-8 hours per day)
Periods of standing (1-2 hours per day)
Moderate periods of walking 1-2 hours a day
Occasional lifting of up to 20lbs
