Summary
Oversee all program management efforts within the Security Operations Center. Provide direct support to the Security Operations Commander (SOC/EOC). Ensure all contract deliverables with third party service providers are met or exceeded including operational up time, cost savings initiatives, service improvements and introduction of best practices and innovations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Includes the following:
Oversees security operations and management of the Security Operations Center (SOC).
Ensures effective operational policies and procedures.
Manages SOC staff and schedules.
Ensures effective training and adherence to SOC best practices.
Ensures adherence to and management of incident reporting and tracking.
Oversees security screening at entry & exit checkpoints.
Provides oversight of security guards and screening staff both contractors and employees.
Develops effective security screening policies and adherence with federal and state guidelines.
Trains and implements best practices for security screening procedures.
Tracks and Resolves screening related incidents.
Responsible for overseeing security guards and security escort services.
Provides oversight of security guards and security escorts both contractors and employees.
Develops effective post policy and procedures to ensure the safety and security of all personnel on site.
Develops effective escorting policies to support awareness and security of all non-badged personnel.
Ensures operational continuity and support to facilities operations and support services.
Responsible for overall security operations and management.
Provides oversight security request and liaison with facilities departments.
Responsible for managing physical security inputs (CCTV, Credentialling, Alerts, etc.).
Responsible for liaison with local security and emergency authorities.
Responsible for overall security operations planning, policy and procedure
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Supervisory/Management Authority
Supervise/manage a department and provide input towards hiring/firing/performance decisions.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree and 5 + years of project management experience managing large complex projects in the area of IT infrastructure, including cybersecurity and physical security; preferably in a federal setting.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Skilled in managing security-related infrastructure and applications.
Knowledgeable in project methodologies, procedures, and processes.
Strong attention to detail in communication within federal agencies.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Skilled with Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, Project, Visio).
Ability to successfully pass a drug screen and background check.
Ability to obtain and hold a Public Trust Background Investigation.
Bi-lingual English-Spanish preferred.
Work Environment
Work is primarily performed in a secured office setting, a controlled office environment as well as working outside in a job site environment.
