Summary
The Configuration Data Manager is responsible for activities in support of the management, performance, and future planning of software and services utilized by the Credit Union. The role will cover all aspects of CDM including software and hardware version control, as well as internal owners who support each item and what their defined roles are responsible for. Other responsibilities include participation in securing new software and services. Responsible for improvement of existing processes, procedures, and roles to support software (including role-based security and version selection). The CDM role will have a strong understanding of product lifecycles and product lifecycle tools, have good interpersonal and communication skills to work with departmental owners, IT staff, and vendors collaboratively and across multiple businesses and geographic boundaries.

Develops and maintains a list of files (both electronic and physical), software and services utilized by the Credit Union and track GLBA and CCPA Classifications.
Functions as go-between for the department’s software and services and the technology group to ensure that each party is responsible for systems and their maintenance.
Ensures that processes are in place to keep software updated.
Helps manage application security and works toward implementing role-based security across the enterprise.
Manages CDM team and is responsible for software, hardware, and documentation for third party systems.
Establishes CDM operational objectives.
Develops program-level CDM Implementation plan and associated policies and procedures encompassing CM of software, hardware, and documentation.
Coordinates the development, implementation and maintenance of configuration management systems.
Participates in design reviews, audits, schedules, budgets, etc.
Responsible for regular reporting of progress and status of CDM efforts at Credit Union.
Communicates clearly (written and verbal) with internal and external customers as required.
Supports the development, implementation and maintenance of configuration management systems.
Supports the analysis of proposed design changes to determine the effect on the overall system; recommends methods of improvement.
May participate in special assignments or projects.
May act as liaison between functional groups.
May supervise the work product of less experienced employees.
Resolves staff technical issues through in-person and phone support.
Develops and maintains an up-to-date working knowledge of the Credit Union’s system hardware, software, software applications and the local area network.
Utilizes current applications to facilitate project management and tracking.
Performs duties as assigned by management and may be assigned to work at any branch.
Coordinates a variety of aspects of branch systems and projects with Core, IT and management.
Responsible for installation, training and maintenance related to personal computer hardware and software.
Provides helpdesk request problem resolution via phone, remote access, and in person while tracking and updating through ticketing system.

Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and Experience
Minimum ten years IT experience.
Solid background in enterprise-wide administration of financial services software experience.
Financial services and/or banking experience required.
Frequent interaction with risk and data managers, auditors, consultants, vendors, and stakeholders.

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations
IT/IS certifications and credentials as required for technologies implemented at the Credit Union.

Knowledge
Credit Union products, services, programs, and promotions.
Skilled with MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) required.
Basic knowledge of lending principles, business services, and special accounts.

Other Skills and Abilities
Operates a variety of office equipment and machines.
Ability to travel, attend, and participate in meetings, seminars, and conferences held before and after normal business hours that may require unaccompanied long-distance travel and overnight lodging.
