Drug Demand Reduction Program Assistant

RMGS, Inc. is currently recruiting a Drug Demand Reduction Program Assistant to provide expert advice, assistance, guidance, and counseling, in support of the goals and objectives of U.S. foreign assistance to International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) in the U.S. Embassy Annex space in Paseo de la Reforma 265, in Mexico City.

Roles and Responsibilities
The position is located in Mexico City, Mexico. Travel to other locations in Mexico, the United States and other countries may be required.
Assists INL designing, implementing, monitoring and reporting of Drug Demand reduction programs (DDR), analyzes drug use trends and challenges and develops and implements projects to address them. Meets with various Government of Mexico (GOM) counterpart agencies and international non-governmental organizations, to identify needs, draft requirements and propose solutions.
Required Qualifications and Experience
COVID-19 Vaccine
Mexican Citizen or Third Country National.
Spanish FSI level 4/4.
English FSI level 3/3.
Master’s degree in international relations, criminal justice, law enforcement, social sciences, or Associate degree with seven (7) years related experience from an accredited institution or; twelve (12) years of related experience in the justice sector, law enforcement, international development, international affairs, or public administration.
A combination of seven (7) years’ experience in progressive professional experience in GOM and/or domestic or international non-governmental organizations, with a minimum of four (4) years in drug demand reduction related projects.
Ability to pass a U.S. Embassy RSO security background check.
Ability to deal effectively with senior U.S. and GOM officials.
Experience in drafting and authoring weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
