Position: Warehouse Specialist Supervisor

Location: Portsmouth, VA

Position Description/Requirements:
•Must be a U.S. Citizen
•Minimum of five (5) years of experience supervising storage and distribution operations. Experience must include a minimum of three (3) years of experience in distribution and warehousing using the Navy’s Material Access Technology (MAT) or equivalent automated Warehouse Management System (WMS) within the past five (5) years
•Direct employees engaged in receiving, storing, issue, shipment, and distribution of a variety of bin and bulk materials, equipment, and commodities using automated and manual material moving equipment, devices, and systems
•Plan the use of subordinate workers, equipment, facilities, and materials based on projected workload on weekly or monthly basis
•Establish deadlines, priorities, and work sequences per general work schedules, methods, and policies established by the Site Supervisor. Redirect workers and resources to accomplish unanticipated work and to accommodate daily workload fluctuations. Conduct planning of current and future work schedules, providing workload data, estimates, information on staffing needs, and recommendations as to the scheduling of projected work. Ensure work is done properly and efficiently
•Use the Navy’s MAT and other Government Data Systems to perform storage and distribution tasks, i.e., resolving common error conditions, respond to computer output instructions or error conditions, and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)
•Must be knowledgeable in Department of Defense DD1348-1A receipt processing, Navy requisitions, inventory practices, supply operations, data entry into personal computers and scanning devices, and possess an understanding of storage plans.
•Must possess a motor vehicle and forklift license for forklifts up to 20K pound capacity.
