Job Title: Med Tech WLFF

Location: Fairbanks, AK 99701 US (Primary)
Education: High School Equivalent
Comprehensive Health Services, Inc. (CHSi) is seeking a Per Diem Locum Tenens Med Tech duly licensed to practice in your home state. The Med Tech shall provide onsite services on agreed upon scheduled date(s) of any onsite event.
NOTE: This is a short-term assignment (one onsite event) lasting three weeks in the Fairbanks, Alaska area. Relocation is not provided at this time.
This position can be filled with a licensed CNA, EMT, Paramedic, and/or LPN.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in medical field preferred
Must have current clinical experience in direct patient care
Have and maintain current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS Card)
Preferably local to the Fairbanks area.
Duties include but are not limited to ability to administer the following testing:
Pulmonary Function Test
Blood Draw/ Processing
Vision Testing (corrected and uncorrected) - Near, Far, Depth, Peripheral and Color
Perform Blood Pressure, pulse, height, weight, distant and near vision screening
Assist with lab draws by completing lab requisitions and any necessary paperwork
Perform AED if necessary
May be required to perform administrative tasks – i.e. Check In / Out of Examinees or Chart QA
Provide detailed notes pertinent in assisting the Medical Reviewing Officer in making final determination for Fit for Duty
Shall be proficient in the ability to speak, write and communicate in English and Spanish
Must be able to perform duties in a stressful and high paced environment without physical limitations
Ability to adapt to sudden changes and flexibility in work requirements
May be on their feet for prolonged periods of time
Work environment typically in very remote areas
Will report to the Site Lead and clinically supervised by the Medical Lead
