The Training Manager is responsible for providing all initial and recurring training on the program for the support of the customer’s assigned mission and deliverables as detailed in basic contract and task order(s) Statement of Work.
•Possess a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline from an accredited university in HR, operations management or business management; and,
•Have at least five years of documented experience in a field related to staff training in regards to management of unaccompanied alien children (UAC), UAC and family unit transportation, federal and state regulatory experience, and behavior management; and,
•Demonstrate experience applicable to the goals and objectives of this program sufficient to communicate with other staff, and appropriate for a similar program environment.
•Excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•The TM is responsible for providing all initial and recurring training on the program. This training shall include DHS Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) required training, State of Texas required training, HR training, federal and regulatory training, and other training as designated by the Program Manager.
•The TM is located at the designated staging facility in south Texas near Harlingen.
•The TM reports directly to the Program Manager and shall be accessible by mobile phone.
•Maintain current training and certification requirements in accordance with state and Immigration ICE/Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) standards.
•Applies CHS policies and procedures or develops and implements new procedures, as may be required.
•Attends and participates in a variety of meetings and task force groups to improve quality and client outcomes, communicate issues and solutions, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specific level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, new task efforts, and new policy requirements.
•Varicella: 2 doses of varicella vaccine (at least 4 weeks apart) •Or titers indicating varicella immunity
•Or documentation from healthcare provider verifying previous infection
•Measles, mumps, rubella: 2 doses of MMR vaccine (at least 4 weeks apart) •Or titers indicating immunity to all 3 diseases
•Tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis: Complete primary vaccination series. •If primary vaccination series completed in childhood, 1 Tdap dose in adulthood
•If received Tdap as an adult, but greater than 10 years, an additional TD or Tdap should be completed
•Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis (TDaP),
•Haemophilus influenza (Hib),
•Influenza: 1 dose annually during flu season (generally, September to May)
•Performs duties in a safe manner. Follows the corporate safety policy.
•Participates in and supports safety meetings, training and goals.
•Ensures safe operating conditions within area of responsibility.
•Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
•Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
•Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
•May require bending, stooping and lifting up to 15 lbs.
