Job summary: The Administrative Assistant of Human Resources will perform administrative duties related to the operations of the human resource office.
Answers and directs departmental phone calls.
Receives and distributes office mail.
Schedules and organizes appointments, interviews, pre-employment exam scheduling.
Proofreads and types documents and correspondence produced by department.
Processes required paperwork for employee transfers, changes in job classification, salary increases, and other related employment matters.
May assist with preparation of human resource reports such as attendance, new hire, and turnover reports.
Support the organization's strategic initiatives by providing Human Resources administrative support to all management and workforce staff. Market Beacon's services, workplace culture, philosophy and core values to applicants, employees and the general public.
Consistently represent, promote and role model Beacon's culture, philosophy, and core values.
Provide Rock star Customer Satisfaction to the Beacon Team, applicants, clients and general public by providing prompt, and courteous responses to inquiries, HR support needs and interpretation of policies and procedures.
Provide direct support to Human Resource Manager.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Demonstrate strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
Demonstrate ability to analyze, input, organize and manage confidential data.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
Ability to operate most standard office equipment.
Attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.

Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Administrative training required
Two years of administrative assistant experience preferred
Prior experience in recruiting/sourcing applicants preferred
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
