Job Summary:
The purpose of this position is to proofread and copy edit all materials produced or published by the DIA's Office of Corporate Communications (OCC) to verify that the material is free of errors, while ensuring that the content is engaging and accessible to the readers.

Responsibilities Include:
Performing final quality control checks, proof reading, etc. using AP Style Guide
Ensuring OCC communications are written in accordance with AP and DIA Correspondence Guide
Assisting OCC Officers in researching topics and locating contract sources
Working with written and visual information specialists to enhance product readability, tone, and style
Reviewing work published across all communications channels (web, print, exhibits, etc.)
Attending customer meetings or information sessions necessary to complete projects

Required Qualifications and Skills:
Active TS/SCI CI Polygraph clearance
Bachelor's degree
2 - 5 years of experience in proofreading or editing
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Adobe Acrobat
Strong oral and written communication skills

Desired:
Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field

Work Setting and Environment:
Monday - Friday, normal working hours
Work is to be performed Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (BJAB) in Washington, D.C 20032
